During the ride, guests board a training vehicle and are equipped with an MIB-issued laser blaster. As the vehicle travels through a chaotic alien invasion in New York City, riders compete to zap aliens hiding throughout the scenes.
Each successful hit earns points, and riders compete with the other guests in their vehicle to see who earns the highest score.
The attraction combines animatronics, special effects, spinning ride vehicles, and interactive targets to create a fast-paced and humorous experience that many Universal fans ride again and again.
A Blast from the Past: The Legacy of Back to the Future
Before Men in Black Alien Attack arrived, this location was home to another beloved Universal attraction: Back to the Future – The Ride.
This simulator attraction launched visitors into a time-travel adventure through the world of the Back to the Future film trilogy. The ride was famous for its motion simulator vehicles and cinematic storytelling.

As Universal Studios Florida continued evolving, the attraction closed to make way for a new interactive experience. While the flux capacitor may have powered down, the spirit of adventure continued when Men in Black Alien Attack opened in 2000.
Men in Black Alien Attack: Continuing the Legacy

Men in Black Alien Attack transformed the area into a training facility for the mysterious agency responsible for monitoring extraterrestrial activity.
Guests become new recruits and participate in a training mission designed to test their ability to defend Earth. Armed with a laser blaster, riders score points by hitting alien targets throughout the ride.
The more aliens you hit, the higher your score climbs. Because every ride offers different opportunities to hit targets, guests often return again and again trying to beat their previous score.

- Keep Your Finger on the Trigger
Instead of pulling the trigger repeatedly, hold it down continuously so your blaster fires as quickly as possible. - Aim for the Center
Alien targets score more points when hit in the center, so try to aim carefully rather than spraying randomly. - Shoot Everything
Aliens appear in many unexpected places, including behind objects and above eye level. - Watch for Small Aliens
Small alien targets often appear quickly and can be worth significant points. - Work as a Team
If you are riding with friends or family, coordinate so someone covers each side of the vehicle. - Keep Firing Until the Target Reacts
Some targets require several hits before they register. - The Big Bug Bonus
Near the end of the ride you will encounter a giant alien bug. Press the red button in your vehicle to earn a 100,000-point bonus if you hit it first. - Ride During Lower Crowds
